Sculpture Works on Paper
My sculptures, drawings, and prints represent a personal language of symbols gathered from various sources. Memory, ritual objects, personal narrative, and my own family's oral history contribute to the visual vocabulary in my body of work. I am particularly interested in what happens when these elements are brought together in a shared context. Transmigration of people, disconnectedness, loss, the burden of tradition, and the beauty of tradition are some of the themes explored in my art.
